ACE wins rights to one more community waste power plant project


Absolute Clean Energy Public Company Limited (ACE) has won the right to invest and develop additional community waste power plant projects. In the first half of the year, it is preparing to launch commercial operation (COD) of 5 more solar power plants.

Mr. Thanachai Banditworabhum, Chief Executive Officer of ACE, revealed that recently, ACE’s subsidiary has just won the bid and entered into a contract granting the right to invest in the construction and operation of a community waste management and management project by converting it into closed-loop electricity called Waste to Energy with Kut Nam Sai Subdistrict Municipality, Nam Phong District, Khon Kaen Province. This is considered ACE’s fifth community waste power plant with an installed capacity of 9.9 megawatts and a proposed capacity under a power purchase agreement (PPA) of 8.0 megawatts.

As for the performance in Q2/2024, ACE had revenue from sales and services of 1,566.7 million baht, an increase of 6.5% from the previous quarter, which was 1,47
1.4 million baht, and had a net profit of 219.6 million baht, a slight decrease compared to the previous quarter. As for the performance in the first 6 months of 2024, the total revenue from sales and services was 3,038.1 million baht and a net profit of 474.8 million baht.

For ACE’s business direction in the second half of 2024, it is expected that progress will be seen gradually. One important highlight is the group of solar power plants that ACE won the bidding for renewable energy projects in the Feed-in Tariff (FiT) format for 2022-2030, totaling 18 projects, with a total proposed production capacity (PPA) of 112.73 megawatts, which are expected to be completed and COD by the end of this year with 5 projects. After that, it is expected that another 10 projects and 3 projects will be COD within 2025 and 2027, respectively. -511
