Taipei: BCPG Public Company Limited has received the transfer of shares of two solar power plant projects in Tainan, Taiwan, expanding its renewable energy portfolio in the Asian region. Mr. Rawee Boonsinsuk, Chief Executive Officer and President of BCPG, revealed that the company has invested in Taiwan by acquiring 100 percent of shares in Xiao Zhi Company, which holds the right to develop a substation and transmission system to support a 200-megawatt power plant and is under construction. It also has the right to lease land to develop an 83-megawatt solar power plant, which is in the process of requesting a permit. Construction is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, the Company also acquired a 100% stake in Wang Heng, which holds the right to lease land to develop a 25-megawatt solar power plant. It plans to apply for a license and start construction in the first quarter of 2026. The combined capacity of the two projects is planned to be more than 108 megawatts. Taiwan is a market with high potential for renewable energy growth and places importance on a systematic transition to clean energy.
