CPRAM Foresees Continued Expansion in Vegetarian Food Market Driven by Health Trends

Bangkok: CPRAM Co., Ltd. (CPRAM) anticipates sustained growth in the vegetarian food market, spurred by consumer beliefs, faith, and prevailing health trends. The company is poised to introduce 50 distinguished menu items during the upcoming Vegetarian Festival to cater to a wide array of consumer preferences.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Teeraphan Laksanaphirom, Deputy Managing Director of Sales and Marketing at CPRAM, highlighted that the vegetarian food market is projected to expand beyond last year’s levels. This growth is largely attributed to the beliefs and faith of Chinese communities in Thailand, alongside the health-conscious demographic. The plant-based market witnessed a 6% growth in 2024, reaching a market value of over 40 billion baht. The current year is expected to maintain this growth trajectory, with projections indicating a market value of approximately 48 billion baht.

CPRAM emphasizes food innovation, consistently developing over 500 new dishes annually. This commitment forms the backbone of CPRAM’s vegetarian offerings, ensuring they are safe, flavorful, and supportive of food security and sustainability, in line with the company’s Food 3S approach. This strategy aims to elevate vegetarian cuisine from a seasonal choice to a mainstream option available throughout the year. This year’s development includes over 50 vegetarian menu items, each meeting high standards for quality, taste, safety, nutrition, freshness, and cleanliness. These dishes are designed for convenience, suitable for main meals, snacks, and quick meals under three primary brands: VG for Love, Jade Dragon, and Le Pan. Offerings include a variety of options such as vegetarian stir-fried pork with red curry paste, vegetarian black bean buns, and vegetarian banana cupcakes, among others.
