Don Mueang Airport Operational Amid Earthquake Aftermath

Bangkok: Don Mueang Airport remains open for normal service, implementing measures to assist passengers and confirming that its infrastructure meets safety standards. The airport has inspected the readiness and strength of its building structure and aviation infrastructure, including elevators, escalators, walkways, jetties, communication systems, and electrical systems, finding no damage post-earthquake. Safety standards are confirmed to be met.

According to Thai News Agency, Don Mueang Airport has facilitated stranded passengers due to limited public transportation into the city. The airport has arranged two 40-seat shuttle buses for additional services, operating between 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m., to transport passengers from the passenger terminal platform, 1st floor, Gate 8, to destinations at Horwang School on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and Victory Monument. Additionally, four vans are providing services from the 4th floor, Gate 5, Suvarnabhumi Airport, replacing the temporarily out-of-service DMK-BKK Shuttle Bus, with five trips between 6:40 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Staff are on hand to provide advice, assistance, and convenience, with a waiting area and drinking water available for those affected.

The situation has returned to normal, with public transportation systems like the Red Line suburban train, taxis, and BMTA buses A1-A4 fully operational. For further information, passengers can contact the AOT Public Relations Center or the AOT Contact Center, available 24 hours a day.
