Governor of EXAT Attends Funeral Chanting for Construction Accident Victim


Pathum Thani: The Governor of the Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), Mr. Surachet Laopoolsuk, participated in the Abhidhamma chanting ceremony for Mr. Narakorn Yueyen, an engineer who died when a construction beam collapsed on the elevated bridge on Rama III-Dao Khanong.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Surachet attended the ceremony at funeral hall 1, Wat Bang Phun, Pathum Thani Province, to pay his respects and offer condolences to the family of the deceased. He apologized for missing the water pouring ceremony due to late notification but assured the family of strict oversight in future projects to avoid similar accidents.

Mr. Surachet emphasized that full compensation and assistance would be provided to the affected families. The Expressway Authority of Thailand, in partnership with Italian-Thai Development Public Company Limited (ITD), will offer compensation of 1 million baht each, as directed by the Minister of Transport. Any issues or concerns can be directly addressed to EXAT or ITD.
