The Mobile Warehouse brings all units to the area to help restore Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.
Mr. Chulaphan Amornvivat, Deputy Minister of Finance, said that in the next 1-2 months, the government must urgently provide assistance and restore the flooding problem in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai provinces. After many agencies helped clear mud from houses and cleaned up, some homeowners have temporarily moved out to other places and are starting to return to take care of their houses. Shops and business operators in various branches have started to reopen, so they must find ways to stimulate purchasing power in the area.
The Ministry of Finance is therefore preparing to bring all its affiliated agencies to the area to provide an understanding and explain various measures of the Ministry of Finance to the public and SME entrepreneurs because in the past, many measures have been issued to help flood victims, especially debt extension negotiations, debt restructuring, new capital injection for small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) to provide capital to reopen their businesses with relaxed conditions, and accelerate public relations for people in the provinces to return to travel in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai because many areas and districts outside the area did not experience flooding but had their travel programs canceled.
While all relevant agencies, after having issued relief measures, must work together to accelerate the drive to revive the northern economy, Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai, to return to being lively as before. The Ministry of Tourism is preparing to accelerate the conclusion of measures to promote tourism in the North in all aspects. Cooperation from all agencies is required to accelerate the rehabilitation of flooding problems in Chiang Rai-Chiang Mai to support the tourist season.
