MRTA invites children to take their mothers on 4 MRT lines for free on National Mother’s Day, 12 August 2024.
Mr. Witthaya Phanmongkol, Deputy Governor (Operation) Acting Governor of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), said that on the occasion of the birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother on 12 August 2024, which is also National Mother’s Day, MRTA has collaborated with the concessionaires of the Metropolitan Rapid Transit (MRT) in all 4 lines, namely Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM), the concessionaire for the MRT Chalong Ratchadham Line (MRT Purple Line) and the MRT Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line (MRT Blue Line), Eastern Bangkok Monorail Company Limited (EBM), the concessionaire for the MRT Nakhon Ratchasima Line (MRT Yellow Line) and Northern Bangkok Monorail Company Limited (NBM), the concessionaire for the Pink Line of the MRT, Khlong Bang Phai – Min Buri section, are organizing a special activity to waive MRT fares on all 4 lines for
mothers traveling with their children on August 12, 2024. Mothers simply show up at the ticket office to receive a coupon or free MRT ticket at every station throughout the service period, while children pay the normal fare. This is to facilitate and promote travel to various places along the MRT route, as well as to foster family bonding.
