Bangkok: Origin CEO confirms that the bridge structure of the Park Origin Thonglor project is strong and assures residents of its safety following recent earthquake damage. Mr. Peerapong Charoon-ek, Chief Executive Officer of Origin Property Public Company Limited (ORI), has addressed concerns regarding the bridge damage, attributing it to architectural issues rather than structural integrity.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Peerapong, who also has a background in general engineering, personally led a team comprising engineering experts, designers, and contractors to evaluate the damage to the connecting bridge of the Park Origin Thonglor project. The bridge sustained damage during a recent earthquake, raising concerns among residents and stakeholders.
The initial assessment concluded that the building’s overall structure remains robust and usable, aligning with earlier evaluations. The connecting bridge, designed to accommodate movement during seismic events, showed no signs of catastrophic structural failure. The damage was classified as architectural, and plans for urgent repairs are underway.
In response to the incident, Origin has established additional customer support centers to ensure swift and efficient assistance across all its projects. Furthermore, a specialized team of structural safety inspection engineers has been tasked with examining all 87 projects today to guarantee their safety and integrity.
