Bangkok: Supersports, a subsidiary of Central Retail, in collaboration with PUMA Thailand, successfully organized the 14th Supersports 10 Mile Run 2025 Bangkok Presented by PUMA, attracting a remarkable turnout of over 7,000 participants. The event unfolded in the bustling heart of Bangkok, with Central World shopping center serving as the backdrop for runners eager to push their limits on May 18, 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, the event was inaugurated by Mr. Alexandre Ambel, CEO of CRC Sports Co., Ltd., alongside Ms. Pornthip Wanichonnarat, Country Manager of PUMA Sports (Thailand). The event fostered an inclusive and vibrant atmosphere, drawing sports influencers and exercise enthusiasts from both Thailand and abroad. Notably, disabled athletes from the Foundation for the Disabled were also invited to participate, underscoring the event’s commitment to equality and empowerment.
Participants embarked on a meticulously planned route, certified by the Athletics Association of Thailand, featuring compr
ehensive services and safety measures. The race categories included a 10-mile (16 km) and a 5-mile (8 km) course, both beginning and ending in front of Central World. A new Top 100 award for male and female 10-mile runners added a competitive edge to this year’s race.
The awards ceremony celebrated the achievements of the athletes, with notable figures such as Ms. Pornthip Wanichonnarat and Ms. Wiyada Buranaphakorn from CRC Sports Co., Ltd. in attendance. The Supersports 10 Mile Run 2025 Bangkok Presented by PUMA concluded on a high note, thanks to the support of its sponsors.
In the 5-mile category, Chatchanan Methachittiphan emerged as the overall champion, completing the race in 28.18 minutes, followed by Chanwit Amornrangsrikul and Takahiro Nakayama. In the women’s division, Sirirat Chaiwattanakunkit claimed victory, clocking in at 34.42 minutes, with Phoncharim Nilayanimit and Supaphan Asairat trailing closely behind.
Phongsakorn Suksawat, a Thai national runner, triumphed in the 10-mile race with a t
ime of 54.26 minutes. Nattawat Innum secured second place, while Nattawut Innum took third. The women’s 10-mile race saw Aroonong Wongson as the champion, with Soraya Taowong and Aranya Hinsui finishing in second and third place, respectively.
Ms. Wiyada Buranaphakorn expressed gratitude to the participants, highlighting the event’s role in fostering a health-conscious community. She emphasized the importance of inclusivity and sustainability, aligning with the Move You, Move Sports brand direction. This year’s event marked a significant milestone, with efforts to reduce environmental impact, including initiatives like the Eco-Friendly and Sustainable Events mission.
Key sustainability measures included the distribution of reusable glasses to minimize plastic waste, the implementation of flag time backpacks instead of balloons, and the use of BIO PLASTIC race packs. The event also adhered to the 3R principle for waste management, ensuring proper disposal and recycling efforts.
