Bangkok: Mr. Phongsak Thepkanjana has taken on the role of the 19th President of the Thammasat University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage for the term 2025 – 2026. The recent transition of leadership was marked by a ceremony where Mr. Chansilp Treenuchakron, the outgoing 18th President, handed over responsibilities to Mr. Phongthep. The new Alumni Association Board was present for the ceremony.
According to Thai News Agency, the Thammasat Alumni Association under Royal Patronage has a mission to serve as a hub for graduates, facilitating communication and coordination. It engages in public relations and information dissemination to encourage participation in social development activities across education, sports, and public welfare. Furthermore, it aims to support the ongoing development of Thammasat University and Thammasat Chalermprakiat Hospital.
During the years 2019 to 2025, the association faced the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. It adapted its policies and event formats to align with the situation, focusing on resource optimization to benefit both society and the association.
