The National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA) focuses on morality, creating goodness, organizing volunteers to join the Children’s Village School to plant 72 trees to honor His Majesty the King.
Recently, the Oil Fuel Fund Office (OFO), led by Mr. Wisak Wattanasap, Director, led the executives and staff to organize volunteer activities/public service at Mooban Dek School, Kanchanaburi Province. They organized the OFFO volunteer activity to plant 72 trees to honor His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of His Majesty the King’s 6th cycle birthday anniversary on July 28, 2024 at Mooban Dek School, Kanchanaburi Province. They planted various types of fruit trees together with the children in the area around the school. In the future, these fruits will be an important food source for the children at this school.
Due to His Majesty King Rama X’s firm determination to continue, preserve and develop the royal projects initiated by his father in various projects, he has given top priority
to forest conservation and restoration. He is aware of the importance of forests, soil and water, which are the foundations of the four necessities and are the key factors that can solve the problems of drought, flash floods and severe soil erosion. Therefore, he is determined to fix, improve and develop the forests to their original state. The Office of the National Park Service is grateful for His Majesty’s kindness and realizes the importance of forests. Therefore, he organized the volunteer activity to plant 72 trees.
In addition, the SCN also has public service activities to provide necessities for living, including food, supplies, snacks, and ice cream to children. The Children’s Village School in Kanchanaburi Province is under the care of the Children’s Foundation. It is a school for underprivileged children that has been operating since 1979. Currently, there are approximately 100 children under its care. The school’s main goal is for the children to grow up to have good lives, receive a good educati
on, have a career that is a good occupation, have income that can support themselves and their families, grow up to be adults who are responsible for society, have compassion, are ready to help those in need and those who lack opportunities, have environmental awareness, and have respect and see the value of themselves and others.
This is another role of the NESDB, in addition to managing the Oil Fund to maintain the stability of domestic oil prices to prevent crises, it also plays a role in good governance and creates goodness for the public. Organizing volunteer/public service activities is therefore another important mission of the office.
