TTB joins in driving Thai entrepreneurs to transform their businesses into sustainable ones.

Bangkok, TMB Thanachart (TTB) joins in driving the business sector to transform into a green business, organizing a seminar, providing advice, and providing financial solutions.

Mr. Saran Phupat, Chief Business Officer, TMB Thanachart Bank, said that climate change is a topic that the world is giving importance to in order to avoid possible severe impacts on the world. Currently, almost 40 billion tons of greenhouse gases are emitted per year, resulting in the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) measure being enforced on companies exporting to the European Union, including the sustainability policies of Thailand from the government, such as the Climate Change Act, which will be enforced in the future. Therefore, Thai entrepreneurs must quickly adapt and transform their businesses, or Business Green Transition, to lead their organizations into green businesses. If they can manage their businesses well in this regard, it will create more opportunities for their businesses to grow, whether it is reducing
costs, reducing energy use, creating a good corporate image, leading to increased sales.

Recently, TTB organized a seminar ‘ttb I Business Green Transition Forum 2024’ with experts from both the public and private sectors sharing their knowledge and experiences so that entrepreneurs who attended the event could apply it to their organizations more effectively. This is one of TTB’s plans as a bank that supports customers to operate in a sustainable manner under the B+ESG framework, including Business, Environment, Social, Governance, Corporate Governance and Business Ethics, with financial solutions that support business transitions (Transition Finance).
