welcomes and presents prize money to Thai national taekwondo athletes


GH Bank welcomes and presents 4 million baht in prize money to athletes and coaches of the Thai national taekwondo team who will compete in the 2024 Olympics.

Mr. Kamolpop Virapala, President of the Government Housing Bank (GHB), revealed that Mr. Akhrut Sonthayanon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, along with the Bank’s executives welcomed Asst. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, ‘Coach Che’ Mr. Chatchai Che and ‘Coach Lek’ Lt. Chanathip Sonkham, coaches, and ‘Nong Tennis’ Flight Lieutenant Panipak Wongpattanakit, ‘Nong Yu’ Mr. Banlang Thapthimdaeng and ‘Nong Bai Toey’ Ms. Sasikan Thongchan, the Thai national taekwondo team, after winning the Paris 2024 Olympics. He expressed his gratitude to GHB as the main supporter of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand since 2006 to the present.

GHB congratulated the Taekwondo Association of Thailand for winning 1 gold medal from the 33rd Olympic Games in Paris 2024, bringing happiness to all Thai people. In ret
urn for bringing fame to Thailand, GHB presented a special prize of 4,000,000 baht to athletes and coaches, including:

Special prize of 2,000,000 baht was given to “Nong Tennis” Flight Lieutenant Panipak Wongpattanakit, a Thai national taekwondo athlete who won the “gold medal” at the Paris 2024 Olympics in the women’s 49 kg weight class.

Special prize of 700,000 baht was given to “Coach Che” Mr. Chatchai Che, head coach of the Thai national taekwondo team.

Special prize of 500,000 baht was given to “Nong Yu” Mr. Banlang Thapthimdaeng, a Thai national taekwondo athlete in the male weight class of 68 kg.

Special prize of 500,000 baht was given to “Nong Bai Toey” Ms. Sasikarn Thongchan, a Thai national taekwondo athlete in the female 67 kg weight class.

Special prize of 300,000 baht was given to “Coach Lek” Lt. Chanathip Sonkham, coach of the Thai national taekwondo team.

Asst. Prof. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the Taekwondo Association of Thailand, said that the Taekwondo Association of Thailand would
like to thank GH Bank for its continuous support. GH Bank is a major supporter and an important part of the association’s success in establishing the foundation for Thailand’s Taekwondo sport to be widely known throughout the country, including the development of referees, training of coaches, and organizing competitions to provide athletes with a stage to showcase their potential and develop their competitive abilities, in order to select outstanding taekwondo athletes to further develop them into athletes representing Thailand, in order to create achievements and fame for the country, and to bring smiles to Thai people throughout the past.
