Mazda is preparing to release new models to the market this quarter, starting with the new Mazda CX-5, which will be available in three engine types — a 2.0-litre petrol, 2.2-diesel and 2.5-litre turbo petrol. Mazda entered the crossover SUV segment with four basic models — the CX-3, CX-5, CX-8 and CX-30 — resulting in its growing popularity in Thailand. Mazda has so far this year sold 9,700 CX-5s, up 27% from 7,653 units the previous year, and has a 17% market share.
