The Thai economy is showing signs of improvement, according to Prime Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha. The revival of the small-scale economy and the rise in the GDP ratio of tourist destinations, lodging, and food have both benefited from an increase in tourism-related activities. Although prices for agricultural products fell in Thailand, the decline was not as severe as some had feared. The related agencies are closely monitoring and addressing the situation. To secure SMEs’ access to capital and ongoing development in line with the government’s stance on economic restructuring, efforts have also been made to empower them.
