Finance Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith has forecast that Thailand’s economy will expand by 3.8% in 2023, with a major contribution coming from the key tourist industry. Speaking on a show on Radio Thailand recently, the minister disclosed that the growth would be further boosted by an increase in domestic expenditure and an acceleration of investment in major projects. Due to government initiatives and decreasing food costs, the nation’s headline inflation is also anticipated to fall within the central bank’s goal range of 1% to 3% this year.
