6 Thais Arrested for Illegal Border Crossing to Work at Cambodian Casino

Poipet: Combined forces have apprehended six Thai individuals attempting to illegally cross the border to resume work at a casino in Poipet, Cambodia.

According to Thai News Agency, the Burapha forces collaborated in arresting the six Thais at a natural border crossing in Ban Mai Khok Sabang, Tambon Tha Kham, Amphoe Aranyaprathet, Sa Kaeo Province. The individuals revealed that they had previously returned to Thailand to stamp their border crossing documents. However, upon attempting to return to work, they found the official border checkpoint inaccessible due to stringent measures imposed by Thai authorities to regulate entry and exit.

The arrested individuals reportedly coordinated with a friend employed in Poipet, who assisted in arranging a clandestine crossing to facilitate their return to work. A guide transported them to the designated meeting point, where they were subsequently apprehended by authorities. The authorities have taken the individuals to Khlong Luek Police Station to proceed with legal actions.
