Introducing the ‘Trophy-Mascot’ of the Women’s Volleyball World Championship

Bangkok: The president of the Volleyball Association of Thailand confirmed that Thailand is ready to host the Women's Volleyball World Championship, and also introduced the championship trophy and the tournament mascot.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Somporn Usibangyang, President of the Volleyball Association of Thailand, confirmed readiness and counted down to host the "Volleyball Women's World Championship Thailand 2025" which Thailand will host from August 22 to September 7.

The event featured the introduction of the championship trophy, with Charm Osathanon, Miss Thailand Universe 2006, as the trophy presenter, and the opening of the World Trophy on Tour route to the four host provinces, from July 23 to August 17.

In addition to the cup, there was also the launch of mascots inspired by the Kinnari angels, consisting of 5 characters, with the main character being 'T Angel', the Thai angel in Siamese ruby red. Several souvenirs were also launched, the highlight being the surprise box of all 5 mascots, with a Thai national volleyball player as the model. There were also key chains, bags, shirts, hats, water bottles, and scarves.

Mr. Somporn revealed that the tickets for the matches in which the Thai team competed were all sold out. As for the semi-finals and the finals, there are still some left, but not many. As for the 4 stadiums, namely the Huamark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, the Saphan Hin Indoor Stadium in Phuket, the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Center, and Chatchai Hall in Nakhon Ratchasima, they are ready. From the round of 16 onwards, all will return to compete in Bangkok. He confirmed and believed that Thailand is ready to host this major event.

Meanwhile, the event concluded with the launch of the competition song 'To be the Champion' sung by Joey Phuwasit, whose lyrics and dance moves incorporate volleyball language and gestures.
