Bangkok: The shop owner herself came out! "Ja Thananon" explained that "orange cake" is always available for sale, and it has nothing to do with the "People's Party" voting to support "Anutin" as the 32nd Prime Minister, citing improved sales.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Thananon Niramis (Ja), owner of Jaristaa coffee shop (Jarista) and wife of Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, spoke to reporters about the trend of orange cake sales at her shop, coinciding with the vote for the new Prime Minister. She clarified that the shop regularly offers orange cake as an alternative for those who avoid cheesecake or cakes with milk or butter. The orange jam's sweet and sour taste complements the richness of the cake.
Mr. Anutin emphasized that the dessert menu is varied daily to cater to different customer preferences. Addressing recent news, he anticipated that the orange cake might sell out and joked with reporters about the lack of orange cake availability. He assured that the shop had stock and that the sales were unrelated to the Prime Ministerial vote.
Ms. Thananont noted that the shop's sales have been robust due to the current trend. She suggested pairing the orange cake with a Pure Matcha or Matcha Coconut drink for a healthy choice.
