Bangkok: The Cabinet convened a special meeting to appoint Traisulee Traisaranakul as the youngest Secretary-General to the Prime Minister. Chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, the meeting resulted in the decision to assign Ms. Traisulee to this pivotal role. Her responsibilities will include supporting the Prime Minister's work, managing general affairs, and coordinating directly with the Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, the position also demands collecting, analyzing, and filtering data to present opinions and orders from the Prime Minister. At 35 years old, Ms. Traisulee is the youngest individual to hold this position. She is the daughter of Mr. Wichit Traisaranakul, President of the Sisaket Provincial Administrative Organization. Her academic background includes a degree from the Faculty of Political Science at Thammasat University.
Ms. Traisulee's political career began as Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office during former Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha's tenure. She subsequently served as Secretary to the Minister of the Interior and Spokesperson for the Ministry of the Interior during the governments of former Prime Ministers Settha Thavisin and Paethongtarn Shinawatra.
