Bangkok: Madam Pang has clarified that her decision to appoint Ajarn Sakon as an advisor is not influenced by current trends but is a result of a long-standing consultation relationship.
According to Thai News Agency, Nualphan Lamsam, president of the Football Association of Thailand, stated she has been consulting with Ajarn Sakon Kliangprasert, the football coach of the Monthong Wittaya team, for an extended period. The collaboration was not initiated due to recent trends but has been ongoing since the Madam Cup football tournament.
Ajarn Sakon, who is a coach at Monthong Wittaya School, played a significant role in developing Teerasak Poeiphimai, a striker for the Thai national team and Port FC, even before the Monthong team's recent viral popularity. Despite his advisory role, Ajarn Sakon does not currently hold any official position within the Football Association.
Madam Pang emphasized that Ajarn Sakon's role as a personal football consultant had been established well before the current viral sensation surrounding the Monthong team, reaffirming that it was not a trend-driven decision.
