Bangkok: In collaboration with the Thai Red Cross, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is urging the public to donate essential items to assist flood-affected regions in the South. A network of 52 donation points has been established across the city, with key locations such as City Hall and the Giant Swing operating around the clock.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Narong Ruangsri, Permanent Secretary of Bangkok, announced the partnership between BMA and the Thai Red Cross Society. The initiative aims to collect necessary supplies for those impacted by the floods. The main donation hub at Bangkok City Hall (Giant Swing) is available 24/7, while Bangkok City Hall 2 (Din Daeng) and all 50 district offices are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Collected items will be transferred to the Thai Red Cross Society for distribution to the affected areas.
Mr. Narong emphasized the need for items such as bedding, essential personal care products, clothing, and non-perishable food. Donations can be made at designated BMA locations. For more information, individuals can contact 0 2224 2947, 0 2224 2953, or 0 2221 2141-69 ext. 1742-3.
In addition to item donations, monetary contributions are welcomed through the Thai Red Cross Society's account at Siam Commercial Bank. Donors desiring a receipt for tax purposes should include their full name or organization details, taxpayer identification number, and contact information, indicating the purpose as "Help Flood Victims."
