Eleven Soldiers Killed in Ongoing Thai-Cambodian Border Clashes

Ubon ratchathani: Eleven soldiers have been killed in the ongoing clashes at the Thai-Cambodian border, as the conflict continues to claim lives. The recent casualties include Sergeant Major Pachara Yaemtaeng-on and Sergeant Major Wutthachak Thotong, who both died in the line of duty.

According to Thai News Agency, Sergeant Major Pachara Yaemtaeng-on was a field radio operator with the 1st Special Forces Regiment, 2nd Battalion. He was injured by an explosion at Hill 677, Chong An Ma, Ubon Ratchathani Province. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to head injuries and other wounds while being transported to the Nam Yuen field hospital.

Also among the deceased is Sergeant Major Wutthachak Thotong, from the 25th Cavalry Battalion, 4th Cavalry Regiment, Royal Guard. He passed away due to a pre-existing medical condition after being admitted to the hospital. Both soldiers were part of the mission to protect the sovereignty of the border in Sa Kaeo Province.
