Chulaphan Rallies Support in Min Buri for Candidate Kwanjira with Promises of Transportation and Economic Reforms

Min buri: Chulaphan Amornvivat, leader and prime ministerial candidate of the Pheu Thai Party, campaigned in Min Buri to support candidate Kwanjira Meenchainan, urging voters to choose both the candidate and the party. He emphasized policies aimed at reducing transportation costs and improving economic conditions.

According to Thai News Agency, Chulaphan, accompanied by key party figures including Mr. Pongkavin Chulrungruangkit and Ms. Khattiya Sawasdiphol, highlighted the Pheu Thai Party's proposal for a flat 20-baht fare across the BTS Skytrain network. He criticized the current government's decision to propose a 40-baht flat fare, advocating instead for the lower fare to alleviate the financial burden on Bangkok residents who face high transportation and living costs.

Chulaphan also discussed plans to convert buses into air-conditioned vehicles with a 10-baht flat fare, aiming to ensure that commuters' daily travel expenses do not exceed 60 baht. He argued that affordable public transport would boost economic activity by increasing shopper numbers in local markets.

The campaign also featured discussions on the "Homes for Thais" project, which aims to provide affordable housing near public transport for as little as 4,000 baht per month. This initiative targets the middle class, whom Chulaphan sees as crucial for Bangkok's economic recovery. He emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for children through education and scholarships, as well as prioritizing safety and technological advancements in the city.

Chulaphan appealed to voters to support the Pheu Thai Party in implementing these policies, including solving flooding issues through comprehensive water management. He stressed the party's experience and success in tackling economic challenges, urging Bangkok residents to vote on February 8th and attend a major rally on January 8th.

Ms. Kwanjira, the candidate for Bangkok Constituency 19, also highlighted the Pheu Thai Party's policy on a retirement lottery and the 30 baht universal healthcare scheme, pledging to advance these initiatives if elected.
