Yotsanan Leads Pheu Thai in Seeking Good Fortune Before Major Rally

Bangkok: Yotsanan, a notable figure in the Pheu Thai Party, led a team to pay respects at the City Pillar Shrine ahead of a significant rally at the City Hall Plaza. He expressed confidence in the positive reception from Bangkok residents.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanu Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, was accompanied by Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, the party leader and also a prime ministerial candidate, and Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit. The group, which included the election director and Mr. Prasert Chantharawongthong, the party secretary-general, visited the shrine with the intent of seeking good fortune prior to their first major rally at the City Hall Plaza in Bangkok.

Mr. Yotsanan, together with party leaders, engaged in a series of traditional rituals at the shrine. They paid respects to the Buddha statue and relics, worshipped the city's guardian spirit, and tied silk ribbons around a replica of the spirit. They also honored the five guardian deities and refilled oil lamps representing each day of the week, with Mr. Yotsanan specifically attending to the lamp for Monday.

Commenting on the Pheu Thai Party's campaign progress, Mr. Yotsanan stated, "We have done our best so far. May we receive abundant blessings. It also depends on our diligence." He noted the encouragement gained from the visit, citing the day as auspicious and the weather as favorable. Mr. Yotsanan also mentioned his meeting with Bangkok Governor Chatchart Sittipunt, where they discussed policies, including the application of AI in security and public-private sector collaboration. Following the visit to the shrine, party leaders moved to join parliamentary candidates at the City Hall Plaza.
