Bangkok: Yotchanan's campaign journey reached San Pa Tong, where he emphasized his dedication to policies designed for the populace and his proficiency in fundraising.
According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanan, along with the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat and other party leaders, continued their campaign in northern Thailand, starting in Chiang Mai. The campaign rally was held at the Than Kaset Central Market in San Pa Tong District to support local candidates, Mr. Natthapat Rattaphat and Mr. Yongyuth Yawichai. The event saw an enthusiastic crowd, with attendees capturing moments with Yotsanan and presenting him with flowers and garlands.
During his speech, Yotsanan expressed his aspiration for the 33rd Prime Minister to hail from Chiang Mai, citing the historical roots of Pheu Thai's policies in the region. He urged voters to make a decisive choice in the upcoming election, highlighting his commitment to improving air quality and supporting agricultural initiatives in Chiang Mai. He outlined plans to plant forests and provide agricultural tools, aiming to alleviate hardships faced by local farmers.
Yotsanan emphasized the importance of the national longan strategy, focusing on water and irrigation for longan orchards. He discussed leveraging the fruit's medicinal properties to negotiate with other countries and enhance its value through science and technology.
Further, Yotsanan addressed the need to revitalize the OTOP project and explore global markets for local products. He proposed creating a Thai e-commerce platform to ensure fair prices and address sluggish trade. Additionally, he mentioned the study of Lanna Airport construction, aiming to enhance accessibility for the region's residents.
During his address, villagers voiced concerns over agricultural and meat product issues, which Yotsanan promised to consider. He reiterated his commitment to grassroots-level engagement, emphasizing that policies are crafted for the people despite any criticism.
Yotsanan assured attendees of his capability to generate revenue, highlighting a project aimed at creating opportunities for wealth generation. He stressed the importance of attracting businesses and individuals into the system, underscoring a consistent mindset of reducing expenses, increasing income, and expanding opportunities.
The campaign continued with speeches at Maejo University and Mae Soon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, concluding with an event in Chiang Rai Province.
