Bangkok: Thai Smile Bus has announced a significant partnership with the Transport Co., Ltd. (BKS) to start offering pick-up and drop-off services within the Mochit 2 Bus Terminal, beginning January 29, 2026. This strategic collaboration aims to enhance passenger convenience and safety by providing designated pick-up and drop-off points for electric buses at the terminal, facilitating seamless connectivity between long-distance buses and urban transportation systems.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Kulapornphat Wongmacharaphinya, CEO of Thai Smile Bus Co., Ltd., emphasized that this new service will greatly benefit the public by reducing the need for passengers to walk outside the station, thereby minimizing the risk of accidents or safety hazards. The service will deploy clean energy electric buses to pick-up and drop-off passengers at the bus stop next to the flagpole at Bangkok Bus Terminal (Chatuchak), also known as Mochit 2.
The initiative will involve all eight routes of TSB's electric buses, which will operate throughout the day. These routes include:
2-48 (122) Happyland - Bangkok Passenger Terminal (Chatuchak), 3-45 (77) Rama 3 - Bangkok Passenger Transport Terminal (Chatuchak), 4-49 (170) Borommaratchachonnani - Bangkok Passenger Terminal (Chatuchak), 2-16 (104) Pak Kret Pier - Bangkok Passenger Transport Terminal (Chatuchak), 1-6 (52) Pak Kret Pier - Bangkok Passenger Transport Terminal (Chatuchak), 1-56 (517X) King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang - Victory Monument, 4-29E (529E) Samae Dam - Bangkok Passenger Terminal (Chatuchak) (Expressway), and S6(555) Bangkok Passenger Terminal (Chatuchak) - Suvarnabhumi International Airport (Expressway).
This collaboration is part of a broader initiative to transform Mochit 2 Bus Terminal into a safe, modern, and efficiently connected transportation hub. By introducing designated pick-up and drop-off points for electric vehicles, the partnership aims to reduce pollution, minimize roadside waiting times, and discourage criminal activities targeting passengers outside the terminal.
