Roza Kid’s Athletics Inspires Thai Youth to Pursue Professional Sports Careers

Pathum thani: The 7th ROZA KID'S ATHLETICS competition, organized by Hi-Q Food Products Co., Ltd., concluded at Thammasat Khlong Luang Wittayakom School with twelve youth teams from across Thailand competing. The event emphasized youth empowerment and laid the foundation for aspiring athletes to pursue professional careers in sports.

According to Thai News Agency, the ROZA KID'S ATHLETICS project is a joint initiative between Hi-Q Food Products Co., Ltd. and the Athletics Association of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. It aims to nurture elementary school athletes into national-level players by incorporating the "Kid's Athletics" curriculum. This curriculum focuses on developing young athletes' skills-physical, intellectual, and emotional-through comprehensive training in running, jumping, throwing, and pitching.

Mr. Suwit Wangpatanamongkol, Marketing Director of Hi-Q Food Products Co., Ltd., highlighted the project's inception seven years ago with the goal of inspiring Thai children. Over 1,200 schools across the country now participate, targeting students aged 8-12 years old. The project focuses on providing invaluable experiences over mere competition, promoting opportunities for self-discovery and potential development among youth.

After intensive regional selections, twelve teams advanced to the national finals, representing various provinces such as Ang Thong, Suphan Buri, Nakhon Sawan, Bangkok, Kalasin, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Surat Thani, Tak, and Lampang. These teams also participated in educational field trips and activities to foster unity and cultural appreciation among the athletes.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Surapong Ariyamongkol, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Athletics Association of Thailand, praised the participants for their potential in heptathlon and other sports requiring diverse skills. The project focuses on fostering not only physical abilities but also analytical and creative skills, with many past participants advancing to sports schools and national youth teams.

As the ROZA KID'S ATHLETICS project enters its 8th year, it continues to support Thai youth by providing challenging and empowering experiences. The project, formerly known as Home Hug Little Athletes, aims to build a strong foundation in sports skills and mental fortitude for future national team athletes through its structured development program.
