Bangkok: People are gradually collecting their certificates from the Election Commission. Tomorrow is the last day. The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) reported on March 5th that 85 proportional representation MPs have already received their certificates. This leaves 11 MPs from the Pheu Thai party and one each from the Bhumjaithai, Prachachart, Ruam Thai Sang Chart, and Thai Ruam Palang parties. Tomorrow is the last day to collect their certificates.
According to Thai News Agency, reporters summarized the situation as of 3:00 PM today: 85 out of 100 MPs elected through the party-list system have received their certificates. The Pheu Thai Party has the largest number of MPs who have not yet received their certificates, totaling 11: Mr. Yosanan Wongswat, Mr. Julapan Amornvivat, Mr. Suriya Jungrungruangkit, Mr. Prasert Chantharawongthong, Mr. Chusak Sirinil, Mr. Sutin Klangsaeng, Mr. Wisut Chainarun, Mr. Suchart Thadathamrongvej, Ms. Sudawan Wangsuphakitkosol, Mr. Thongtham Wechayachai, and Mr. Adisorn Piangkes.
As for the Bhumjaithai Party MPs, 18 have already accepted, leaving only one remaining, Mr. Krisada Leenawarat. The Prachachart Party has one representative: Pol. Gen. Tawee Sodsong. The Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party has accepted one candidate, leaving one more to go: Mr. Peerapan Salirathavipak. The Thai United Power Party has one representative: Mr. Wasawath Puangporn.
Tomorrow will be the last day that the Election Commission will allow those elected as Members of Parliament, both from constituency and party-list systems, to receive their certificates of election. The deadline is 4:30 PM.
