Department of Employment Launches ‘Thai Jobs’ Platform Offering Over 50,000 Positions

Bangkok: The Department of Employment has launched an initiative inviting job seekers to apply for over 50,000 positions through "Thai Jobs" to assist Thais in re-entering the labor market.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Somchai Morakotsriwan, Director-General of the Department of Employment, highlighted the current challenges in the labor market due to the economic downturn and shifts in employment structures. To address these issues, the Department has prepared 54,870 job vacancies nationwide. These opportunities are tailored for a diverse group of individuals including the unemployed, recent graduates, senior citizens, and vulnerable groups. Positions are available across various fields such as sales, office administration, and warehousing, allowing job seekers to find roles that align with their skills and experiences.

Mr. Somchai emphasized the availability of the "Thai Mee Ngan Tham" (Thai Has Jobs) platform, which enables job seekers to search and apply for positions online. The platform is accessible via the "ThaiMeeNganTham.doe.go.th" website or the "ThaiMeeNganTham" application, offering free services to match job seekers with suitable positions based on location and skills. Additionally, the "Freelance Workers" platform connects freelancers with employers, providing opportunities for those interested in self-employment or supplementary income.

The Department has also incorporated AI technology to analyze data and recommend job positions to applicants. This initiative includes workforce skill development through upskilling and reskilling, ensuring workers have the necessary skills to meet market demands. Furthermore, job fairs and career guidance in educational institutions are being promoted to help young individuals plan their career paths in alignment with future economic needs.
