Krabi: The Constitutional Court is enhancing knowledge and understanding among the media. The Constitutional Court enhanced media coverage of its roles, responsibilities, and powers through its 2026 Constitutional Court Meets the Press project. Mr. Nakarin Mektrirat, President of the Constitutional Court, presided over the opening ceremony of the Constitutional Court's 2026 Media Outreach Project. The event was attended by Constitutional Court judges, executives from the Constitutional Court Office, various media outlets, and government agencies within Krabi province.
According to Thai News Agency, the Constitutional Court's annual meeting with the media today aims to enhance understanding of the Constitutional Court's role, duties, and powers, facilitate the exchange of views between the court and the media, and discuss important achievements of the Constitutional Court and the Office of the Constitutional Court. It also seeks to strengthen the positive relationship between the Constitutional Court and the media for greater effectiveness.
Mr. Suwit Suriyawong, Deputy Governor of Krabi Province, extended a warm welcome, stating that the media stationed in Krabi have worked closely with him and inviting them to help promote Krabi's world-class tourist attractions. He highlighted the province's commitment to preserving nature, providing fair service, and maintaining friendly hospitality. He also assured the media that there was no need to worry about snakes, following reports of snakes entering hotel rooms.
Following this, a panel discussion was held on the topic of "The Role of the Constitutional Court and the Media in Building Public Understanding." The Constitutional Court aims to utilize the media, as a crucial medium and mechanism for disseminating knowledge, information, and updates regarding the Constitutional Court and its office, to ensure the public has a better understanding based on accurate, clear, complete, and comprehensive facts.
