The Bus Terminal Company (BKS) reported that over 1.3 million people traveled during the 11-day Songkran festival, with no stranded passengers and no accidents. According to Thai News Agency, The Transport Company Limited, or BKS, has summarized passenger travel data during the Songkran festival in 2026, from April 9th to 19th, 2026, a total of 11 days. A total of 1,316,648 people traveled (round trip) using 75,353 bus trips (both company-owned and partner buses). On April 11, 2026, the busiest day for round-trip travel was April 11, with a total of 151,593 people using buses (both company-owned and privately operated) on 7,745 trips. For return trips, April 15, 2026, saw the highest number of passengers on both outbound and return journeys, totaling 119,957 people, using buses (company-owned and privately operated) on 7,059 trips. There were no stranded passengers and no accidents th roughout the Songkran festival in 2026.
