Bangkok: The Commander of the 4th Army Region recently paid a courtesy visit to the Chulalongkorn Royal Chaplain, where discussions focused on exploring avenues for cooperation in supporting various activities.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Arun Boonchom, the Chularajmontri (Chief Islamic Religious Leader of Thailand), welcomed Lieutenant General Norathip Poynok, Commander of the 4th Army Region and Director of the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4 (ISOC Region 4). The visit involved official discussions and an exchange of views and suggestions on guidelines for the operation of Islamic religious affairs at the Office of the Chularajmontri.
In attendance to welcome the guests were Pol. Maj. Gen. Surin Palare, Secretary-General of the Central Islamic Committee of Thailand, Mr. Chatch Hasalem, Senior Advisor to the Chularajmontri, Mr. Prasit Mahamad, Secretary to the Chularajmontri, Dr. Pandhipa Tharaphiban, and Dr. Srisuda Lertyingcharoenchai.
The Chularajmontri expressed gratitude for the ongoing support of Islamic affairs, highlighting its benefits to Muslims and Thai society. He affirmed the readiness to collaborate closely with all government sectors. This meeting underscores the strong relationship and unified cooperation between the government and Islamic religious organizations, serving as a crucial foundation for advancing Islamic affairs in the country and fostering lasting understanding among people of different faiths in Thai society.
