Bangkok: Min Pechaya was taken aback when prosecutors filed new charges against her in the ongoing "The Icon" fraud case. She has called for justice, emphasizing that the charges should be grounded in accurate evidence, and has requested bail to properly defend herself.
According to Thai News Agency, the Public Prosecutor's Office, Special Cases Division 1, has scheduled the indictment of Ms. Peechaya Wattanamontri, also known as Boss Min, and Mr. Yuranan Pamornmontri, referred to as Boss Sam. Both are well-known actors and implicated in the case involving the alleged public fraud orchestrated by The Icon Group Co., Ltd. The indictment was set to be presented to the Criminal Court today.
On April 27, 2026, Min Pechaya addressed the situation via her personal TikTok account, explaining that after the initial charges were dropped on January 8, she had been living a regular life and recovering from the previous turmoil. She expressed disbelief that the prosecutor now requires her to once again prove her innocence in court, despite her previous exoneration.
Min Pechaya has maintained a cooperative stance with authorities since the onset of the incident. Although the company remains silent, she has actively engaged in press conferences and appeared at both the Criminal Court and the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB). She has consistently communicated her willingness to cooperate with all relevant agencies.
She expressed her determination to prove her innocence once more, stating her intention to exercise her right to seek justice as a citizen. Over the past year, she has submitted multiple letters, including witness statements, to the prosecutor, the most recent being on April 7th. Her primary concern is that the main case, the Icon case, be resolved first. If a lawsuit is unavoidable, she requests that it be proportionate to her actual involvement with The Icon company.
Min Pechaya illustrated her situation by comparing it to working for a company that encounters issues. She pointed out that she has only been involved with the company for a year and a half, whereas it has been operational for 6-7 years. Despite this, she is being implicated for the entire duration, which she deems unfair. She insists that any charges should reflect the correct period and evidence.
She is prepared to meet with the prosecutor and has requested the right to bail to demonstrate her innocence outside of court and to gather evidence for her defense. She reassured the public that she has no intention of fleeing. Concluding her statement, Min Pechaya expressed gratitude to the public, acknowledging the severe impact on her life and family, and reiterated her readiness to fight and regain her strength. Many supporters have reached out with encouragement and support for the actress.
