Bangkok: The Prime Minister presided over the ceremony for the bestowal of royal decorations for the year 2025 upon cabinet ministers, heads of government agencies at the ministerial level or equivalent, provincial governors, and civil servants of the Prime Minister's Office who have rendered meritorious service to the nation, reflecting their commitment to serving the people.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place at the Phakdi Bodin Building, Government House. Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, led the proceedings. His Majesty the King bestowed these royal decorations on the occasion of His Majesty's Birthday Anniversary on July 28, 2025, as published in the Royal Gazette. The Cabinet Secretariat had instructed relevant agencies to conduct the awarding ceremonies in front of His Majesty's portrait at appropriate locations.
The ceremony today honored 59 individuals, including cabinet ministers, high-ranking officials, and executives of the Ministry of Interior, who received their decorations before the portrait of His Majesty the King. Notable recipients of the sash class decorations included Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas - the Grand Cross of the Order of the White Elephant, Mr. Worasit Liengprasit - the First Class of the Order of the White Elephant, and Ms. Sabida Thaiseth - the First Class of the Order of the Crown of Thailand. Recipients of classes lower than the sash class included Mr. Akranan Kankittinan and Mr. Wacharaphol Khaokham, both honored with the Second Class Order of the White Elephant, and Mrs. Suksomruay Wantaniyakul with the Second Class Order of the Crown of Thailand.
Among the high-ranking civil servants recognized were leaders of government agencies at the ministerial level or equivalent, who received the Maha Paramaporn Chang Phueak. This distinguished group included Mrs. Yupapha Thawiwattanakitbaworn, Mr. Thanat Suwannanon, Mr. Anan Kaewkamnerd, and several others holding significant positions within the government.
