The event featured representatives from various European nations, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Serbia, and Germany. Attendees adhered to a strict dress code, with men in suits or white tie and women in evening gowns with tiaras or crowns.
The diplomatic relationship between Thailand and Sweden dates back to 1897, initiated by the visit of King Chulalongkorn to Sweden as a guest of King Oscar II. This historical visit laid the groundwork for longstanding relations between the two royal families, which continue to be nurtured through such formal engagements.
