Bangkok: The Prime Minister has called upon the Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council for an intensive briefing session ahead of a critical meeting with 35 influential business tycoons.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul arrived at Government House at 8:50 a.m. today, following his customary practice of paying respects to the Narasimha statue on the second-floor balcony of the Thai Khu Fah Building. He then proceeded to meet with Mr. Danucha Pichayanant, the Secretary-General of the NESDC, to receive a detailed report on Thailand's economic situation for the first quarter of 2026.
This evening, at 5:00 p.m., Prime Minister Charnvirakul is set to host over 35 senior executives from 10 key industry groups at Government House. The meeting aims to foster discussions and the exchange of ideas, with the primary objective of discovering strategies to boost the nation's economic competitiveness.
