Bangkok: The Department of Forestry has clarified its stance on being included in a recent bribery list, emphasizing that it maintains a strict no-corruption policy and pledges to enforce strict disciplinary actions if any wrongdoing is discovered.

According to Thai News Agency, the Royal Forest Department issued a statement addressing the results of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) transparency survey, which evaluates organizational governance. This follows a survey conducted by the Zero Corruption Working Group on May 14, 2026, which ranked the Royal Forest Department 10th, with an average bribe value of 67,500 baht per incident.

The Department has reiterated its commitment to good governance, transparency, and integrity, stressing the importance of serving the public and the nation. The Royal Forest Department stated that it abides by principles of fair, transparent, and accountable governance, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and bylaws. It also promotes ethical conduct among its personnel at all levels.
