Barcelona Extends Hansi Flick’s Contract Until 2028

Barcelona: Barcelona has officially extended the contract of their 61-year-old German coach, Hansi Flick, until June 30, 2028. This decision follows his successful management of the team, leading them to clinch the 2025/26 La Liga title.

According to Thai News Agency, the announcement was made on May 18, 2026, recognizing Flick's contribution to the team's recent achievements. The original contract, which was due to expire on June 30, 2027, has been extended by an additional year. The agreement also includes an option for further extension until 2029.

Hansi Flick, who began his tenure as Barcelona's manager in the 2024/25 season, has guided the team to considerable success. Under his leadership, Barcelona secured two consecutive La Liga titles in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons. In addition, they won the Copa del Rey in 2024/25 and the Spanish Super Cup in both 2024/25 and 2025/26.
