Supachie Suthamphan Unfazed by Petition on 400 Billion Baht Loan Decree

Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Supachie Suthamphan, expressed confidence in the government's economic stimulus measures amid the Constitutional Court's decision to accept a petition concerning the emergency decree for borrowing 400 billion baht. Supachie assured that the government is committed to supporting economic growth despite the ongoing legal proceedings.

According to Thai News Agency, Supachie addressed concerns about the potential disruption to government work due to the opposition's petition. She emphasized that the government remains unfazed, highlighting the country's GDP growth of 2.5% in the last quarter of the previous year and strong export performance in January and February. Supachie pointed out that the Ministry of Commerce is taking proactive steps to mitigate any financial impact, especially in light of the energy crisis in March.

Additionally, Supachie discussed the positive response to the "Thai Helps Thai" project. The initiative aims to ease financial burdens on consumers and businesses by offering 100 baht discount coupons starting June 4th. The project also intends to support SME and community products, helping them expand into larger markets. The Ministry of Commerce continues to monitor customer satisfaction through integrated efforts across all departments.
