The exhibition, under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, celebrates the 170th anniversary of the formal diplomatic relations between Thailand and France.

This historic exhibition is a collaboration between key partners including the Ministry of Commerce, the Science, Technology and Innovation Institute (SACIT), and the Queen Sirikit Museum of Textiles. Her Majesty the Queen, the Royal Thai Embassy in Paris, and the Mus©e des Arts D©coratifs in France collaborated to showcase the value of Thai heritage through costume design, ancient brocade fabrics, high-quality handicrafts, and contemporary works by Thai designers, totaling over 200 items. The exhibition is curated by B©atrice Quette, curator of the Asian and Islamic Art Collection at the Mus©e des Arts D©coratifs.

The exhibition is divided into seven rooms, beginning with the room "The Genesis of 170 Years of Thai-French Relations," which tells the story of the strong relationship between the two countries through the role of clothing as a cultural and diplomatic medium. This is followed by the room "Eight Royal Thai Dress Styles," which are recognized as national costumes, showcasing the royal garments of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother.

Her Majesty Queen Sutida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana and Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya reflect the continuation and further development of the beauty of Thai traditional clothing in each era.

Another important exhibition room is "Royal Garments: The Value of Thai Craftsmanship," which showcases the craftsmanship of Thai artisans through household items and decorative objects such as bags, hand-painted fans, and Benjarong porcelain. A key highlight is the "Royal Garments of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, by Balmain and Lesage," marking the first time the exhibition displays the process of Her Majesty's work and research in collaboration with the French fashion house and the Foundation for the Promotion of Arts and Crafts, through sketches, fabric samples, and intricate embroidery.

The exhibition also showcases the beauty of the "Brocade and Local Handwoven Fabrics" room, reflecting the weaving wisdom from various regions of Thailand, as well as the "Mudmee Silk in Haute Couture" room, revealing the introduction of Thai fabrics to the French haute couture world through collaborative designs with the prestigious embroidery institute Lesage.

In addition, visitors will be able to appreciate the works of contemporary Thai designers in their role as inheritors and interpreters of Thai art and culture in new dimensions, through the "Embroidery Art from the SIRIVANNAVARI Brand" room, founded by Her Royal Highness Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana Rajakanya, along with works from contemporary Thai designers including TIRAPAN, ASAVA, VATIT ITTHI, WISHARAWISH, and MESHMUSEUM, who have jointly presented their work.
