Bangkok: Police arrested a Russian doctor for illegally administering facial injections in Phuket as part of "Operation Moscow Devil Filler." The operation led to the confiscation of several medications and medical equipment valued at over 600,000 baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the Crime Suppression Division, in collaboration with officials from the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office, conducted a raid and arrested Ms. Kristine, a 45-year-old Russian national. She faces multiple charges, including operating a medical facility without a license and selling unregistered medical equipment and medicines. During the operation, authorities seized 32 items, consisting of 130 pieces of medicines and medical equipment, with a total value exceeding 600,000 baht. The arrest occurred at a luxury villa in Thep Krasatri Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket.
The investigation into illegal activities in Phuket province uncovered the operation of an unlicensed beauty clinic managed by foreigners within a luxury villa. Authorities found that the clinic was offering beauty treatments and facial injections. After collecting evidence and securing a search warrant, they discovered Miss Kristine, who identified herself as the villa's owner. Inside a downstairs bedroom, they encountered Ms. Mam (pseudonym) on a treatment bed, appearing to undergo cosmetic procedures. A further search revealed various medications, medical supplies, and equipment. Miss Kristine admitted that the clinic lacked proper licensing and that she did not hold a medical license. She also confessed to smuggling some of the medications, medical supplies, and equipment from Russia via the airport. Police arrested her and seized the evidence, transferring both to Thalang Police Station for legal proceedings.
