Pathum thani: Thirty golfers have qualified in the first round, vying for a ticket to the 2026 Queen's Cup. Thirty golfers have successfully navigated the pre-qualifying round of the "Queen's Cup Thailand Championship 2026" golf tournament, emerging from a field of 111 entrants. This initial round took place at the Riverdale Golf Club in Pathum Thani Province on June 23rd.
According to Thai News Agency, the standout performer of the pre-qualifying round was 19-year-old amateur golfer Siwawong Akkharawatthana, who delivered an impressive score of 4 under par 67 to claim first place. Among the players advancing to the next stage is Thai national team golfer Warut Boonrod, also known as "Ono."
The qualified 30 golfers are set to compete in the Qualifying Tournament on Monday, June 29th, again at the Riverdale Golf Club. This stage will see 144 golfers vying for the top 30 positions, which will secure them a place in the main tournament of the 'Queen's Cup Thailand Championship 2026.' The main event, scheduled from July 2nd to 5th, offers competitors a chance to win the prestigious Queen's Trophy and a prize pool totaling 15 million baht.
