Bangkok: The Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a public warning to cease consumption of 25 food products identified as counterfeit. According to Thai News Agency, the FDA, in collaboration with the Sisaket Provincial Public Health Office, conducted an inspection of "Kuen Fah Phen 2," a food production facility located in Phimai Subdistrict, Prang Ku District, Sisaket Province. The inspection revealed the facility's failure to meet the necessary requirements for food production, leading to the revocation of its production license and the food registration numbers for 25 specific products.
The products, which range from vegetarian whole wheat breads to various juices, may still be circulating with revoked registration numbers, classifying them as counterfeit under the Food Act B.E. 2522 (1979). Consumers are urged to verify product names and registration numbers as per the Sisaket Provincial Public Health Office's announcement. The FDA has requested businesses to halt the sale of these items and advises consumers to check registration numbers before purchasing through the FDA's official website, Line, or the Mor Prom application.
Additionally, the FDA provides multiple channels for inquiries or complaints regarding health product safety, including a hotline, social media, and email. The agency emphasizes the importance of consumer vigilance in ensuring food safety and compliance with regulatory standards.
