Bangkok: "Thammanat" clarifies that his trip to Monaco was for a family vacation, not to meet "Thaksin." Captain Thamanat Phromphao, the leader of the Kla Tham Party, addressed speculations surrounding his recent trip to Monaco, asserting that the visit was purely a family vacation and not politically motivated.
According to Thai News Agency, Thamanat took to his personal Facebook page at 8:40 PM to dispel rumors suggesting he had engaged in negotiations with the Pheu Thai Party in Monaco to support a potential change in the prime minister. Thamanat emphasized that his journey to France and Monaco was solely for leisure with his family, and he expressed his disdain for secrecy, stating there was no need to travel such a distance to meet Thaksin Shinawatra.
Thamanat further clarified that the trip was planned well in advance, taking advantage of the parliamentary break to spend time with his wife and children. He also mentioned that a review of Thaksin's travel records would demonstrate that there was no meeting between them in Monaco.
