Muang thong thani: Sales at the "Silpa Cheep Prateep Thai OTOP: Uniting Hearts with Royal Blessings" event have surpassed 367 million baht over a five-day period, with the single day of August 12, 2026, alone generating 82.7 million baht.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed the successful figures at the event, which is being held from August 8-16, 2026, at IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. The cumulative sales of 367,933,077 baht during the first five days reflect the strong public interest in OTOP products and community-based goods available at the fair.
The government, led by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, is focusing on creating economic opportunities at the grassroots level. This is being achieved by promoting OTOP products and local wisdom, allowing them to access larger markets, reach more consumers, and generate direct income for entrepreneurs and communities. The positive response to this event underscores the tangible potential of Thai products in generating economic value.
On August 12, 2026, sales reached an impressive 82,735,853 baht, marking the highest daily sales since the event's commencement. The breakdown of this figure includes in-store sales of 73,952,767 baht, online orders of 5,779,439 baht, and online sales of 3,003,647 baht.
The daily sales figures from August 8-12, 2026, were as follows: August 8, 70,728,357 baht; August 9, 75,258,201 baht; August 10, 70,015,308 baht; August 11, 69,195,358 baht; culminating in the August 12 figure of 82,735,853 baht. These figures collectively led to the five-day cumulative sales total.
Textile and apparel products contributed the most to the cumulative sales, accounting for approximately 193.8 million baht, followed by food at approximately 66.7 million baht, household goods at 41.7 million baht, non-food herbal products at 8.8 million baht, and beverages at 7.5 million baht.
The Deputy Spokesperson highlighted that the sales exceeding 367 million baht demonstrate the power of OTOP products and Thai wisdom in generating income for entrepreneurs and communities. The government aims for the OTOP market to be a significant mechanism in creating jobs, generating income, and continuously circulating funds within the grassroots economy.
The event will continue until August 16, 2026, bringing together OTOP entrepreneurs from across the country, showcasing a variety of Silpa Cheep products, Thai fabrics, handicrafts, food, and community products. The public is also encouraged to utilize their "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" government subsidy program at the event.
