Bangkok: The autopsy results have confirmed that the victim of a pit bull attack succumbed to severe facial injuries. The examination revealed that the victim endured extensive wounds across the face and neck, with particularly deep bite marks that fractured facial bones. Following these findings, the bereaved family has retrieved the body to conduct religious ceremonies, expressing profound grief over the tragic incident.
According to Thai News Agency, the pit bull, named "Giant," was retrieved from the victim's home by animal transport officials after the attack. Giant was taken to an animal hospital before being returned to his original owner in Suphan Buri province. It was disclosed that the dog suffered from cancer and had never shown aggressive tendencies, although he occasionally barked and became irritable. Experts suggest that the hot weather might have contributed to Giant's irritability, potentially leading to the unfortunate incident.
In light of the autopsy results, the family has taken the body to Wat Bueng Thonglang, where religious ceremonies are being held. The funeral service is set to span three days, culminating in a cremation ceremony scheduled for September 13th.
