Bangkok:Minister Varawut Silpa-archa has directed the Provincial Industry Office to conduct a survey of businesses affected by recent floods and heavy rainfall in Thailand. He has also instructed all industrial estates to assess the structural integrity of their flood barriers and to provide assistance to surrounding communities.
According to Thai News Agency, the Minister of Industry expressed that the Ministry is committed to supporting both businesses and citizens impacted by the floods through its provincial industry offices. Varawut emphasized the importance of monitoring and evaluating the flood's impact on businesses, particularly in heavily affected areas like Ayutthaya province, and implementing necessary relief measures.
Varawut stated that he has requested all industrial estates to thoroughly inspect their flood barriers. He highlighted the necessity of addressing the challenges faced by both the estates and the communities nearby, stressing the importance of mutual aid in alleviating hardship. The Ministry of Industry's "Industrial Unity Center" collaborates with various private sector entities to provide support, and donations have been received for the public.
