Floodwater Recedes in Lat Krabang’s Rom Klao Community After Pump Installation

Lat Krabang:Floodwaters in the Rom Klao housing community have begun to recede following the deployment of four powerful water pumps.

According to Thai News Agency, these pumps have been strategically placed near the Big C bridge to channel water into the Khlong Nueng canal and subsequently into the Khlong Prawet Buriram canal. The operation has effectively reduced water levels by approximately 20-30 centimeters at the entrance to the soi compared to prior conditions.

Despite the progress, some areas deeper within the community, which have a basin-like topography, still experience high water levels. In Zone 11, residents have observed a significant decrease in water levels, which previously reached chest height, now reduced to about 40-50 centimeters.

In response to the ongoing situation, plans are in place to install four additional pumps, increasing the total to eight, to expedite the drainage process and alleviate flooding in the affected areas.
