Samut Prakan:The navy has dispatched vessels to assist with water drainage in Samut Prakan amid severe flooding affecting the region.
According to Thai News Agency, Admiral Nares Wongtrakul, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy and Director of the Royal Thai Navy Disaster Relief Center, visited the area to support the morale of the task force dedicated to pushing water back into the sea. He received briefings on the ongoing operations from the Royal Thai Navy Dockyard Department and reports on the local water situation from various units at the Bang Bo District site.
Due to flooding in several areas, Samut Prakan Province coordinated with the Royal Thai Navy to request water-pushing boats to expedite water drainage. On October 2, 2026, at 12:30 AM, the Royal Thai Navy deployed water-pushing boats in key locations including Bang Bo District, where 6 boats were positioned near Bang Bo Market and 10 boats near Bang Bo Hospital Bridge, and in Bang Phli District, where 4 boats were stationed near Makro Bang Phli and 4 boats behind Bangkok Airways.
